Sunday, 28 September 2025, Pererenan, Bali –
Finals Day at the Bintang Liga Surfing Indonesia 2025 presented by Earth Island brought the swell drop everyone was waiting for, delivering clean morning conditions at Pererenan River Mouth. Competition began at 9:00 AM on a single bank with the good tide, and by the end of the day all divisions had crowned their champions in front of a loud and supportive crowd.
Masters Division

The morning started with the Masters Semifinals, featuring some of Indonesia’s best veteran competitors exchanging wave after wave. The local crowd erupted when Made Aru (I Made Nuada) used his deep knowledge of the break and relaxed, stylish approach to secure the victory. The hometown win also marked the first-ever Liga Surfing Indonesia national title for Pererenan Surf Club (PSC).
Junior Women’s Shortboard

Challenging afternoon winds made conditions tricky, but Jasmine Studer (Legian Boardriders Club) rose above the rest with powerful backside surfing. Delivering standout performances in both her Semifinal and the Final, she earned a well-deserved national title.
Junior Men’s Shortboard

The Juniors put on an aerial showcase all day long, with multiple heats filled with innovative maneuvers and tight scores. The Final came down to a thrilling exchange between Natan Johannes and Dylan Wilcoxen, with Wilcoxen eventually edging ahead to take the crown.
Under 10 Division

The youngest competitors proved fearless, tackling overhead waves with determination. Charlie Kirkwood posted one of the highest scores of the round in the Semifinals with a sharp backside combo, but in the Final it was Sang Bagus (Halfway Kuta Boardriders) whose fast and powerful forehand surfing earned him the victory in an exciting back-and-forth battle.
Longboard Divisions

Though Pererenan’s river mouth isn’t known as a longboard wave, the athletes impressed with stylish nose rides and critical turns. In the end, the brother-sister duo of Dhany Widianto and Dhea Natasha (Halfway Kuta Boardriders)dominated their respective divisions, showcasing their trademark elegance and flow.
Open Women’s Shortboard

In dropping afternoon tide and tricky conditions, Kailani Johnson (Legian Boardriders Club) stayed consistent and composed. Her sharp surfing throughout the week paid off as she claimed the Open Women’s LSI Championship.
Open Men’s Shortboard

The final division of the day was nothing short of spectacular. The Open Men’s Shortboard Final featured explosive airs and high-risk maneuvers from start to finish, but it was Ketut Agus (Halfway Kuta Boardriders) who stole the show. With lightning-fast, powerful surfing, Agus left both the crowd and judges speechless, securing the ultimate victory and adding another major title to his name.
