Asian Surf Performance Academy (ASPA)

Saturday, 27 September 2025, Pererenan, Bali: Day 2 of the Bintang Liga Surfing Indonesia 2025 presented by Earth Island saw the Open Men’s Shortboard, Masters, and Junior Men’s Divisions battle it out in challenging big-wave conditions at Pererenan. With powerful sets maxing out the river mouth, surfers faced heavy closeouts and were forced to commit to the steep take-offs and explosive finishes.

Despite the difficult conditions, the surfing standard remained extremely high, with the Quarterfinals level feeling more like Finals as athletes pushed each other in wave-for-wave exchanges. The critical closing section of the waves became the key scoring opportunity of the day, with most competitors choosing to attack it with full commitment.

Masters Division

The highlight in the Masters came from Tipi Jabrik, who posted the highest wave combination of the round with his trademark power surfing. His solid performance secured him a place in the Semifinals and confirmed his status as one of the frontrunners in the division.

Junior Men’s Division

The Juniors once again delivered an incredible showcase of talent, with every heat resembling the intensity of an Open Men’s match-up. The standout was Aditya Somiya, who dropped an excellent score with mature, powerful surfing on the Pererenan right-hander. His performance showed why the next generation of Indonesian surfers is ready to step up to the big stage.

Open Men’s Shortboard

The Open Men’s division produced some of the most dramatic heats of the event so far, with nonstop action and back-to-back exchanges. The afternoon highlight came from Dhany Widianto, who broke his board mid-heat, sprinted up the beach for a replacement, then paddled straight back out to score a 7.50 on his next ride. Backing it up with another solid score, Widianto secured first place in his heat and advanced confidently into the later rounds.

What’s Next – Day 3 Outlook

With the swell expected to drop slightly overnight, conditions at Pererenan are forecast to be near-perfect for Finals Day. The stage is set for an epic conclusion to the 2025 LSI Grand Final, with Semifinals and Finals across all remaining divisions scheduled to run.
